Model Train

So, this has been a very busy weekend and I have just a few more photos to share. It just doesn't seem right to not mention that Robbie got a lot of Daddy time in this weekend. They had many moments of bonding. One was building a really cool train. Robbie has been carrying the box of this model train around since we bought it (about two weeks ago) asking to open it. However, it was a Daddy project and his Daddy has been putting in a lot of hours at work.

This weekend was about Robbie and when Kasey pulled out the model train this morning, Robbie leapt up from his cars with glee. Seems like a funny choice of words, glee... but I think it describes the moment perfectly. He even did a little happy feet dance on his way to the table to sit next to his daddy.

They sanded the wood pieces, they carefully painted each individual piece (check out the tongue of concentration!) and glued it all together! The train is a colorful master piece and Robbie is proud. He can't wait for it to dry so he can play with it. It was fun to watch father and son create together. If Robbie doesn't remember it forever, I will.
