This week, Robbie had his first day of soccer practice. This is through a program called Kids Love Socccer. Robbie truly does love soccer. He had a great time. This time the class runs for a full 8 weeks. I think it'll be a nice step up from the Little Kickers offered through Arena Sports. Skills are still taught through fun games, but the games are definately focused more on specific skills. I also like that there is a huge emphasis on not touching the ball with your hands, which Robbie has down very well.
Anyhow, Alyssa isn't too thrilled with Robbie's new class. She doesn't understand why she can't go out there and chase balls around also. When she turns 2, we can put her in the same soccer program though. But next week, Alyssa has a gymnastic's class. We'll so how that goes. It's much harder finding things for her than it is for Robbie.
He is currently going to school three days a week and soccer once a week. He also has a regular playdate on his one off day from classes. He's a busy little boy!
